Billy Cole

Billy ColeBilly Cole ( also known as Bill Cole) writer of the Blues Song “Cummins Prison Farm” is alive and well. He is doing a solo act in “Juke Joints” and Blues Clubs, mostly in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Billy is not only a writer, he acts, produces and directs. He has had significant parts in major motion pictures. Some of the parts were as the Sheriff in “The Blue and The Gray”, a pivotal point in the outcome of the movie. Co-stared in “Savage Fury” which got rave reviews. He also played the bootlegger in “White Lighting”(this was not a stretch).

His life had a few bumps and drawbacks but he survived them all. His favorite saying is “whatever doesn’t kill me makes me stronger”. He seems to be settled at this point of his life and is as happy as an old blues singer can be.
